LGBT Traveler Information
The Gay & Lesbian Convention and Visitors Bureau (GLCVB) represents more than 20 of the most gay-friendly destinations across the world. By going to the main page of the GLCVB.org website, each logo links to detailed information about each destination and opportunities for gay and lesbian travelers.
The GLCVB only represents destinations that support our community through their outreach practices and their own internal personnel policies. In order to be a GLCVB Partner, the destination must meet the following qualifications:
1) The CVB, DMO or Tourism Office must have a non-discrimination policy that includes "sexual orientation."
2) The CVB, DMO or Tourism Office must treat heterosexual married couples and gay and lesbian domestic partners equally in their personnel policies.
3) The CVB, DMO or Tourism Office must provide diversity and sensitivity training to their employees.
It is amazing how the world has changed since we started Community Marketing, Inc. fifteen years ago. At that time only handful of government destinations outreached to the gay and lesbian community. Today, our company tracks over 100 destinations with active outreach programs. We are very proud of our GLCVB partners for setting the standard for diversity and equality in their communities.
